In Collab With Alekos Fassianos

Alekos Fassianos (1935-2022) was an internationally acclaimed Greek painter, widely recognized as the most prominent Greek artist. His works are today exhibited in museums and private collections in Greece and abroad.

Alekos Fassianos was a great source of knowledge and inspiration for numerous artists and definitely for me. Working together with me at my Studio, he shared his ideas, directions and techniques giving me the opportunity to understand his philosophy and views on art.

For my last exhibition in Bahrain I chose ceramics that I did with Alekos Fassianos, in appreciation of his enormous contribution to modern art and the impact he had as a person to me in my artistic way of thinking. Alekos Fassianos blends ancient philosophy with modern life. His works are filled with heroic characters and intellectual allegory set against everyday life.

I have learned a lot from him and one of the most important is to be free in expressing my feelings and ideas in any form of art. I am very grateful to him for giving me the opportunity to work by his side and to create together beautiful ceramics.
