Anny Zachariades

About Anny

Anny Zachariades was born in Athens. Although her formal education was in Economics and Statistics, (BSc University of Athens), her creative side led her to express herself through a broad range of media such as pottery, batik, silk painting, mosaics and other creative crafts.

In Bahrain (1987) she opened her first Pottery Studio and when she was repatriated in Athens (1996) she created with her daughter "EZ ART Studio", a school of various arts and crafts like drawing, painting, ceramics, sculpture, mosaics, stained glass, jewellery casting, silk painting.

While she was living in Athens (1996-2008) she became Alekos Fassianos's exclusive associate for his ceramic artwork, a range of functional and decorative pottery. She was hand building, glazing  and firing them following his designs. Alekos Fassianos was painting on them in her Studio. They were exhibiting and selling the ceramics as teamwork.

The experiences and challenges of life have often turned her attention to exploring deeper aspects of herself, trying to profoundly change the way she thinks, feels and behave in order to live in harmony with everything.

She became a Certified Facilitator after she completed the Art4Healing® Certificate Course. She went through an intensive training and by the first day, she felt the power of art and realised once again that just the process of making any kind of art is itself a tool for healing.

She facilitates art workshops in English and Greek using the Art4Healing® method. She works with all ages - adults, adolescents and children, giving the opportunity to a large audience of people feeling stressed or experiencing emotional pain or sadness to use art as their language of communication and to express themselves in new and different ways.

At the same time, she is happily following her train of thoughts with her hands, doing her personal line of ceramics.

Her  studio, “Secret Garden”, is open to those interested in pottery,  mosaics or "Art4Healing painting" as a hobby, or as an art, or merely out of interest, or for recreation.
